Our Ambition ?
To address the need for more radical changes in long-range (LR) aircraft configurations and propulsion concepts to drastically cut the climate impact of long-range flights and to accelerate the potential entry-into-service of such aircraft to before 2050.

The need ? Accelerate the development of future long-range aircraft configuration
In the new era of global green growth:
- Experimental aircraft are globally pursued for radical aircraft configurations.
- Scaled flying testbeds are an order of magnitude cheaper than full-scale flying testbeds.
- Following Clean Sky and Clean Aviation, climate impact reduction of long-range aircraft is to be pursued.
EXEALIA’s key expected results for European competitiveness in global green growth are:
- Promising and disruptive long range aircraft configurations, with propulsion concepts and technologies.
- Pre-design of modular experimental aircraft for use and re-use, technology infrastructures for de-risking.
- Exploitation roadmaps for RTD in coming decades, towards enabling global impact before 2050.
