Meet HIT09 – a SME whose mission purposly aligns around one of the core recommendations from Marion Draghi’s report: moving innovation into commercialisation

A brief overview of HIT09 illustrates this well :

  • HIT09 is a spin-off from the Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy 📍
  • HIT09 was established very recently (in 2010) and already received a significant amount of funding from EU funded projects : 16 signed grants (nearly 1 a year) totaling more than 6 million euros
  • HIT09 is active in fields where #innovation and exploitation walk hand in hand : aeronautic, aerospace, energy and marine engineering, lately focusing on small propulsors for UAV and/or ultra-light aircrafts
  • HIT09 is dedicated to analysis & design but also product development and marketing of aeronautic and aerospace components
  • HIT09 guiding principle is to advance in cooperation with the research world and academia

HIT09 and EXAELIA – a fruitful partnership

  • On the one hand, in the rapidly developing aviation (innovation) landscape, EXAELIA offers HIT09 the opportunity to explore the newly developped configurations and stay in a leading position in terms of providing its services for new, radical configurations and technologies
  • On the other hand HIT09 will exploit insights gained in the research and development of 1) advanced propulsion technologies and unconventional engine integration and 2) advanced AI-based methods for design and simulation
