Exploring Experimental Aircraft – Designed and Built in Europe

Within the EXAELIA project, European partners are collaborating on the design of novel flying testbeds—experimental aircraft that will play a key role in accelerating the development of disruptive long-range commercial aircraft.

As part of the project, three distinct families of flying testbeds will be investigated, each tailored to address specific flight testing requirements. These testbed concepts will integrate advanced instrumentation and measurement technologies, enabling high-fidelity testing and validation. Selected features and capabilities will be showcased through small-scale demonstrations during the project.
