EXAELIA held its 2nd General Assembly meeting

EXAELIA just held its second General Assembly Meeting, which took place last week, on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June, at the ONERA – The French Aerospace Lab premises in Toulouse, France.

This important gathering of 37 participants and advisory board members physically and about the same number of experts online, was a great opportunity to assess the project progress and also conduct the second Gate Review assessment and the 4th Advisory Board Meeting.

They discussed the reference and baseline aircraft overall propulsion system architectures, and exchanges with the technologies to be developed. They also discussed the next steps, particularly maturation roadmaps for technologies and operational models and funding strategies for FTBs to derisk the blended wing body and hydrogen-powered aircraft concepts.

This meeting was concluded with a brief tour of ONERA UAV laboratory, where scaled models of drones were presented in details.
